Embodied Gifts: Serving and Mercy

Our world needs more help than we can possibly offer it on our own. Jesus knew that and relied on the power of the Spirit to serve the world well. Let’s begin discovering how “becoming more like Jesus for the good of others” involves ministering to the world with the same power he demonstrated.

Embodied Spiritual Gifts are Holy Spirit-saturated aspects of our design through which we express the supernatural love of God to the world around us. Let’s unpack three of the Embodied Gifts: teaching, leading and encouragement.

All Christians are called to live generously, but some are uniquely gifted with supernaturally-inspired giving. The gift of giving fuels the body of Christ to run the race marked out for us.

Spiritual gifts aren't a competition for status; they're a body functioning the way it was designed, each part supplying what the others cannot. A body where only the "visible" gifts are valued isn't healthy it's malnourished.

The message explores the gifts of serving and mercy and how they reflect the heart of Jesus. It calls us to meet practical needs, move toward hurting people, and embody Christ’s love wherever we are.
