A Simple Response to a Simple Gospel

When Jesus rode into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, the crowd declared "Hosanna!" It's an ancient word, but actually has significant meaning for our lives today. "Hosanna" encapsulates two simple truths about the message and ministry of Jesus that have the power to bring us lasting peace. Apart from one another, these two truths have caused damage and sown deception into the hearts of people for generations. But together, these truths combine to create the greatest news the world has ever heard.

The Good News of Jesus is simple, however people tend to make it complicated. The truths that we are more sinful than we think and more loved than we know is an invitation to a simple response that will transform our lives. In this talk, we learn how simple it is to respond from a most unlikely source, a thief on the cross next to Jesus.

Commitment and authority are two words that most of us shy away from. We often fear commitment and resist authority. The result - we don't want anybody leading our lives except for us. However, Jesus came, not just to forgive us, but to lead us.
