Palm Sunday

When you hear the phrase, “they’ve lived a sheltered life” does it have a positive impression on you? Not in our culture. It implies being pampered or spoiled. The drama of Jesus entering Jerusalem on his way to His eventual crucifixion is commonly called, “the Triumphant Entry” but many miss the fact that Jesus was sobbing as he road in to the city, not over his death but because of deep love for the people then and the people of our day who miss his offer of shelter from the a life filled with loss, guilt and despair. But, the offer still stands and we can still experience a life in the shelter of God’s love, if we choose.
