Scripture:

Ephesians 6:10-12 - "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."

Last Week's Challenge:

You were challenge to invite God to speak about your identity and beliefs. What did you notice?

Summary:

Spiritual Warfare- have you heard of it? The Bible seems to speak of it quite often, though never using the term "spiritual warfare," itself. Angels, demons, God, and the devil, are all a part of scripture, right along with us- normal people!

So what do we make of it? Is there such a thing of spiritual warfare- activities in realms unseen that affect me and my life? Is there something I should actively be doing about it, or is this the kind of thing I admit I cannot see or do anything about?

Discussion Questions:

• Is prayer a normal rhythm in your life? If not, what gets in the way? If it is, how did that happen?
• "Show me how to pray here": Is there a time when God showed you what to pray when you had no idea?
• What scriptures have given you peace in your life? How have they been a help to you?

Challenge:

Your new favorite prayer for the week is, "show me how to prayer here, Jesus." Ask the Lord as often as you can to show you how to pray in different situations. Pay attention to what you experience throughout the week. Consider writing them down.
