We are stunned by the destructive power of the storms that ripped through our community and are thankful to God that no lives were lost. Our prayers are with all who have experienced loss and are walking through the emotional distress of this event. Below are links for those looking to help as well as looking for assistance.

Helping Opportunites

Omaha Rapid Response

Omaha Rapid Response is now headquartered at Bethany Lutheran Church, 4200 North 204th. They have hundreds of volunteers out doing clean-up in homes, helping  demolish homes, cutting down and cleaning up trees in Elkhorn, Blair and Bennington.Some of us were working with them today, they are doing an amazing job in our community. www.rapidresponseamerica.org  

Eight Days of Hope

They will be working in Omaha May 5-11. They have many volunteers working with them.  They also are cutting down and cleaning up trees, demolishing homes and helping with overall clean-up. Those that are from out of town are staying in the Christ Community Church building. They are wanting more volunteers from Omaha. www.eightdaysofhope.com

Weekly Prayer

Within Reach invites anyone to join for prayer, starting tomorrow, they are kicking off the weekly prayer gathering on Zoom every Thursday morning from 6:30 to 7:00 am. It's a chance for us to come together and pray for our city, especially for those who've been affected by the recent storms. Register for the Zoom link by visiting withinreach.com/events.
